Stealing Kisses in the Snow by Jo McNally πŸ’• Fun Facts, Book Tour & Signed Book Bundle Giveaway πŸ’• (Holiday Romance)

Maybe "perfect" is over-rated...

Between juggling two kids, two jobs, and a fixer-upper house, single mom Piper Montgomery is so busy she can hardly see straight. But when rugged biker Logan Taggert strolls into the B&B where she’s working, she can’t help but stare. He has bad boy written all over him. She’s promised her kids a “perfect Christmas” this year, and bad boys aren’t part of the plan. But how can she resist?

Once his grandmother is back on her feet, Logan can leave her Victorian B&B get back on the road. It’s where he belongs after all, even if his grandmother’s matchmaking book club biddies try to convince him otherwise. But there’s something about beautiful, spitfire Piper that makes him wonder if kids and commitment might be just what he needs after all.

As Christmas draws ever closer, so do Piper and Logan. Could these two opposites find all they want this Christmas is each other?

Fun Facts About Upstate New York

Stealing Kisses in the Snow is set in Upstate New York. As an Upstater myself (born there and in the process of moving back), I know that many people think only of Manhattan skyscrapers when someone mentions New York State. But there’s a huge state above New York City, and it’s beautiful. There are mountains and lakes and castles and farms. Many years ago, my cousin brought her young daughter to visit from Iowa, and her daughter was amazed when she got off the plane. “It’s green!” Apparently she was expecting lots of cement and high rises.

My Rendezvous Falls series is set in the Finger Lakes area of New York (between and south of Syracuse and Rochester), where from the sky the glacier-made lakes look like long fingers. The Finger Lakes has rolling hills, lakes (of course), and lots of vineyards and wineries. That’s right—wineries! Did you know that New York is the third largest wine producing state in the US? The Finger Lakes region is perfect for wine growing with its valleys to protect the vines from the worst weather, and sloping hills for proper drainage. Most of the lakes have Wine Trails to follow so you can visit their wineries and, of course, sample a few wines while you’re at it.

And in the fall, when Stealing Kisses in the Snow begins, it’s especially beautiful, with the trees changing colors and cider stands along the roads. By the way, New York is also the third largest producer of apples in the US, so you can start your day picking apples and finish with a nice glass of pinot grigio.

Another thing you’ll find in Upstate New York is...snow. Lots of it. And it definitely makes an appearance in Stealing Kisses in the Snow. Logan Taggart has never seen a weather alert for “Lake Effect Snow” before. He eventually learns that when cold winds sweep south over the Great Lakes, moisture rises. When that cold, moist air gets over land again, it dumps snow. Lots of “lake effect” snow. One town might get a foot of snow in an afternoon, and the next town over will have blue skies and sunshine. It’s pretty impressive. In the book, an early snow storm traps Logan and Piper at the empty inn, and they have to figure out how to spend all that time together. Whatever will they do while those fat flakes of snow fall outside?

The woman hesitated, glancing back at her daughter. Momma Bear had saved her cub. She swallowed a couple times, then gestured to the door with the mop. Her voice still shook, but the volume lowered.

“You need to go.”

“I’m sorry I startled you. I’ve had a long-ass…” He glanced at the kid and grimaced.

“It’s been a long trip, and I got caught in a rainstorm just south of here. I haven’t eaten since yesterday’s dinner…”

Her eyes softened a fraction, even as she held the mop out firmly. She nodded toward the door. “The Methodist church three blocks over has a food pantry, and the Catholic church does soup and bread every Wednesday for whoever stops in. Father Joe might be able to help you find a place to sleep. But you can’t stay here.”

Logan couldn’t stop his bark of laughter, even though it made her jump. She thought he was homeless? He couldn’t decide if he was offended or impressed. Clearly scared out of her wits, she was still kind enough to offer him a chance at hot food and a bed. Yeah, definitely impressed. It was no surprise she worked for his grandmother, who was also a tough-as-nails woman who cared about others far more than she ever let on. Her eyes started to narrow again, so he tried to clarify that he wasn’t some random vagrant.

“Actually, I can stay here.”

She lifted the cell phone. Not good. His words tumbled out. “I’m Logan Taggart. This is my grandmother’s place. I know I look like Sasquatch right now, but I’m honestly just here to help my grandmother.”

Welcome to Rendezvous Falls, New York, where love is where you least expect it…

When accountant Whitney Foster’s carefully calculated life blows up, she escapes to the one place that’s always felt like home. But Rendezvous Falls has changed since she’s been away. Her aunt Helen’s winery is in trouble. And she doesn’t trust the sexy, surly stranger working the vineyard as far as she can throw him.

Luke Rutledge would do anything for Helen, who’s been like a mother to him. Revive the winery? Sure. Repair her property? No problem. Tolerate Helen’s infuriating, big-shot niece? Well…maybe. But as he and Whitney are forced to work together to rebuild the business, her chilly facade reveals a woman as complex and intoxicating as a fine merlot. Throw in a matchmaking book club hell-bent on happily-ever-after and it’s a potent cocktail.

Love should never be calculated. But it doesn’t take Whitney’s math skills to see that this is adding to up to one tantalizing adventure…

With a little luck and a lot of love, this fake engagement just might become the real deal…

Bridget McKinnon has her hands full. Her beloved grandmother is ill and needs her help, the family business is resting on her weary shoulders, and money is tight—forcing her to find a tenant for the apartment in her house. But when a tall dark-haired stranger with a delicious Irish accent appears, asking about the apartment, she wonders if her luck is finally turning. Little does she know, her whole life is about to change…

Finn O’Hearn needs a fresh start and Rendezvous Falls seems like the perfect place for a new beginning. Recently hired as a professor at the local college, he’ll do anything to prove himself at work…even convince his beautiful new landlord to be his pretend fiancΓ©e so his boss is happy. He knows she only agreed to the plan to please her ailing grandmother, but he can’t get her—or her warm, boisterous family—out of his head or his heart. But as he and Bridget spend more time together, they’re both surprised when what started as make-believe soon feels all too real.

Jo McNally lives in coastal North Carolina with 100 pounds of dog and 200 pounds of husband – her slice of the bed is very small. When she's not writing or reading romance novels (or clinging to the edge of the bed...), she can often be found on the back porch sipping wine with friends, listening to great music. If the weather is absolutely perfect, she'll occasionally join her husband on the golf course, where she always feels far more competitive than her actual skill-level would suggest.

    1. Thanks, Tashia! It was an appropriate title since Piper is a single mom, and they had to keep those kisses out of sight. :)
