He faces Tori’s hostility and objections head-on, interjecting himself into every aspect of her life, and leaving him no time to dwell on his own.
Through the twists and turns of the madman’s game, Tori is forced to adapt to her unwelcome circumstances. Still, she fights Jack's presence, and her attraction to him, as he tries to open doors better left closed.
For Tori and Jack, life and death decisions are part of their jobs. But, can they overcome their pasts and realize that there’s a difference between life and living?
Hello, and thanks for letting me hang out with you and your fans today. I live in the Midwestern US where we’ve had a very active storm/tornado season this year. If you live in this region, you probably have either a love or a hate relationship with the storms. I personally love them, which was part of the genesis for my heroine in Convergence, Tori Whitlock.
Although she’s an actual storm chaser, it’s still something on my to-do list. Mother Nature is so powerful and I think it would be a total blast to get out there and chase her instead of waiting for her to come to me. (Disclaimer: As much as I love the power of these storms, I know they are dangerous.) The only thing that would make it perfect is if all tornadoes would stretch out over open areas only and leave population centers alone.
Interesting facts:
-Closest I’ve ever come to a tornado: Less than a mile
-Most destructive tornado aftermath I’ve witnessed personally: 2011 Joplin MO (the pictures still make me cry)
-I am a trained storm spotter through the National Weather Service, although since I’ve gotten that designation, the most exciting thing I’ve been able to report is dime-sized hail
-I had a dream about our house being hit by a tornado. Less than a week later, my sister-in-law’s house was destroyed by one
I hope you enjoy Convergence and fall in love with Jack and Tori’s love story. Happy Reading!

“What the hell makes you think you can just walk in and turn my life sideways, kiss me like we kissed last night, then act like nothing in the world has changed?”
He’d started to turn away, then came back, nostrils flared a mere inch from her face, forcing her against the computer table. She didn’t fear him, but if the vein ticking in his neck was any indication, she probably should have.
“Everything in the world has changed.” His deep voice was quiet, restrained. “It changed for you the day that email showed up in your inbox. You didn’t ask for that. I get it. But that doesn’t change the facts.”
She opened her mouth to interrupt but he was on a roll.
“This is exactly why I’ve done everything short of castration to try to keep my hands off of you. You think I’m immune to whatever this is? You think I don’t lie out here at night torturing myself with the knowledge that you’re thirty feet away from me, warm in your bed? Well, think again. Some nights, that’s all I think about.
“But having sex with you would complicate everything. Hell, that kiss turned my brain to mush. You intrigue me, fascinate me, draw me in ways I haven’t felt in a long, long time. I want time to know you. The real you. I won’t risk your life by getting sloppy. You can get angry with me all you want, but I’d rather have you alive and pissed off than dead on my watch.”

In January of 2013, Michelle released her debut novel, Dangerous Ally.
In September of 2013, the next book in her Long Shot Series, Unspoken Bonds, was published.
Now a cancer survivor, Michelle decided to use her platform to promote awareness of ovarian cancer and its symptoms. In January 2014 she published, Are You Listening: A Personal Journal of an Ovarian Cancer Survivor.
Because it is so important to spread the word, one hundred percent of the proceeds from this $.99 ebook go directly to the Vicki Welsh Ovarian Cancer Fund to support their mission of fighting ovarian cancer through awareness, education, research and support.
Michelle lives in the Midwestern US with her husband of twenty-eight years and has four amazing and unique children, a wonderful son-in-law, and two beautiful granddaughters. Michelle believes that any day that involves family, writing, or reading is a great day, indeed.

ReplyDeleteI like a mystery with romance thrown in. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading the fun facts! Tornadoes frighten me! I lived in Denver when I was nine and we had some scary tornadoes while I was there! One was even just blocks away from our apartment. I remember being home alone, sitting in the bathtub holding my cat and a flashlight, listening to the radio. When those sirens went off and I could feel the place shaking, it was terrifying. Luckily it didn't last long and the only damage was knocked over bookshelves and pictures and a few broken vases. But it truly was one of the scariest experiences in my life. As I got older I found tornadoes to be somewhat interesting and intriguing in science class, but still don't really care for them and will never live in state that gets them frequently lol. Still looking forward to checking out your new book!
