Christmas Threats are Singing
Holiday cheer has spun through the tiny Rocky Mountain town of Clear Creek, leaving everyone excited for the annual Christmas festival. But the real event of the season — Jemma and Brandon’s wedding — won’t happen until the tourists head home.
While Jemma is fulfilling her one festival assignment of helping vendors set up, she learns a man has swapped the ornaments he’d listed on his application for a book he’s written about the string of local murders. To avoid reigniting everyone’s emotional distress, the event organizer asks him to leave. When Jemma and Brandon check back, instead of finding an empty booth they find the man dead.
Before Jemma can reassure anyone that her focus is on the wedding, not the investigation, unsettling gifts that twist The Twelve Days of Christmas start appearing at her shop. The holiday tune has never been more threatening.
The killer’s grudge is personal, but Jemma has more to protect this Christmas than her life. She needs to wind up the investigation so she and Brandon can finally tie the knot!
Rebecca McKinnon enjoys playing with her imaginary friends and introducing them to others through her writing. She dreams of living in the middle of nowhere, but has been unable to find an acceptable location that wouldn’t require crossing an ocean.
Octavia Fields doesn’t have it in her to pass up a good protest. When she learns of the chance to help keep another resort from being built on the edge of a reservoir in the Rocky Mountains, she loads the picket signs into her hippie van, Betty, and meets up with her fellow protestors. But when Betty is “kidnapped” with an acquaintance’s possibly-illegal property inside, Octavia relies on some new friends — Jemma, Kitty, and Granny — to help track down Betty before Deputy Chase’s law enforcement friends find her.
A Good Van is Hard to Find merges Octavia Fields Mysteries with Clear Creek Mysteries in a story fans are sure to love, while being the perfect introduction of each series for new readers!
This story takes place after the first book in each series, yet stands on its own and can be enjoyed without having read any of the books.
