Married to the Russian Kingpin by Leslie North 💕 Book Blitz & Book Bundle Giveaway 💕(Contemporary Romance)

Viktor Sokolov doesn’t know if he should make love to his beautiful new wife… or kill her.

Growing up with a father who held a high position in the Russian mob, Alexandra Volkin was thrilled when her parents signed a contract promising her to a Russian mob boss, even though she’d never met him. All she’d ever wanted was to be the powerful woman of a man everyone respected. So, when her intended is murdered and she is promised to another, Alexandra is nearly unfazed. One mob boss is as good as another. Besides, she can’t deny the strong attraction she feels for Viktor. Alexandra learned at a young age that sex equals power, and she’s about to exert a heavy dose of power on her new, coldly distant husband.

Through a dark twist of fate, Viktor marries the woman intended for his murdered father—and his lovely bride’s own father is the likely murderer. As the saying goes, though, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. It’s not so big a sacrifice when your enemy is your sexy new wife. Viktor doesn’t have the stomach for the brutal violence his father exacted on his enemies, but it’s almost a certainty that his wife’s father killed his own father, and that leaves him with little choice. Yet, while he can ignore his pretty wife’s pleas, and her insistence that her father is innocent… ignoring how she makes him feel is a whole different challenge. There isn’t a going to be a happily ever after for the two of them. Unless, that is, she can prove her father’s innocence.

“Are you almost done? I feel like it’s taken two hours to pin that thing.” The excited smile on Alexandra’s face had carried over to her voice, and she struggled to keep from fidgeting.
“You are beautiful.” Alexandra’s mother Darya finished fastening the bridal veil in her daughter’s golden hair and smiled at her. “Look.”
Alexandra and her mother turned to face the familiar ornate mirror which had decorated Alexandra’s bedroom wall since she’d been old enough to walk. Alexandra let out a whoosh of air she hadn’t realized she’d been holding and stared at her reflection.
The wedding gown was impossibly white, almost silver, and its shimmery fabric clung to her curves in all the right ways. The neckline plunged to reveal only a little cleavage, and led to glimmering lace around her shoulders and down her arms. She thought of her gown as elegant, and loved it as it was, though her friend Elena had said it needed more ‘bling.’
As if, Alexandra thought. The twenty-one-year-old woman staring back at her from the mirror was a flawless picture of beauty. Her usually pale skin had been tanned to bronze, lending her a warm glow, and her eyes were bright like the sky on a cloudless day. Her natural beauty, combined with careful makeup, complimented the perfect white of the dress and made her feel radiant.
“Do you think he’ll like it?” She smoothed the front of her dress. Darya’s smile widened.
“He’ll love it.” Darya’s voice was heavy, with a strong Russian accent. Her parents had moved here, to Boston, from Russia when Alexandra had been a baby. And even though she herself spoke perfect American English without an accent, Alexandra loved how her parents spoke.
“Good. Thought so,” she noted, letting out a confident chuckle. Alexandra stole another look in the mirror and then returned her mother’s smile. “Mrs. Boris Sokolov. Has a nice ring to it.” She faced her mother, raising an eyebrow. “Hopefully as nice as the ring on my finger will be,” she added, allowing out a playful laugh. Her mother grinned back at her.
“So silly for such a serious day.” Darya said.
“Not silly—excited! How many years have I waited for this? I’m getting married! I’m finally getting married, and to a rich, powerful Russian mafia boss, too. My own happily ever after.” Alexandra nearly squirmed inside her gown with growing anticipation. “After Boris and I get to know each other, I’m sure we’ll be just as happy as you and Dad are in your arranged marriage.”
“Marriage takes work,” Darya reminded her, casting a look over her daughter.
“I know, I know, and I’m prepared for that. Spending the rest of my life with someone I’ve never met before is going to make things interesting, but I’m so happy I’m finally starting my own adventure.”
And it was true. She was going to fulfill her dream at last. No more skulking around her parents’ house feeling like she was in the way. No more worrying or wondering about when her life might start to pick up. This was the day she would start living, really living, in luxury and power.
A knock at the door took their eyes to their door, and then Darya turned back to face her daughter, primping her veil.
“The limo’s here. Let’s go.”
Alexandra leaned into the mirror one last time, tilted her head to inspect her makeup, and then followed her mother. The anticipation which had previously been a dull buzz grew to a delightful Christmas morning feeling. This was her day—it was finally here.

Seduction of Wealth by Emma Calin 💕 Book Tour & Gift Card Giveaway 💕(Romantic Suspense)

What would you do if your bosses told you to break the law?
How far would you go before you questioned them?
What if you're a cop and your bosses are the law?

London traffic cop Kaitlyn Thorn narrowly escapes a Mafia attack on the world-dominating banker Randolph Quinn, a key witness under her protection. Someone on the inside has gone bad and betrayed her location. With orders to keep him alive at all costs, she has to run from her own team and gamble on nothing but her own instincts.

Alone with this sexy and powerful man, her desire to know him in every way begins to dictate her actions. They want her to stay close to him, but just how far can she go before her passion clouds her judgement? If she loves him will she be able to betray and turn him in, as she surely must?

United with Randolph in all-or-nothing danger, she abandons herself to moments of pleasure, knowing every delicious second could be her last. Can she really trust their love? As risks escalate she must demonstrate her courage and skill but will it be enough to save them both from destruction?

'Seduction of Wealth', another stand-alone story in Emma Calin's 'Seduction Series', combining thrilling crime mystery with steamy suspense romance.

If you enjoy James Patterson, Catherine Coulter, Nora Roberts and Kendra Elliot you'll love a story that combines all of their best traits in a fast-paced, pulse-pounding roller-coaster adventure full of romance, deception, danger and love.

A juicy mix of cops, crime and passion with a HEA ending.

A bit about my books...

My new book 'Seduction of Wealth' is a stand alone story - as are all the books in the series. They follow a theme: sassy female London police officers get involved in international crime-action adventures and fall in love. Woven through the thriller/mystery is the steamy love story of how they get together with a character involved in the drama. It's not always clear at the outset if the object of their affections is on the side of good or evil, but of course, they always turn out to be good guys so readers are guaranteed a happy ever after ending.

Although they are stand alone and could be read in any order, there are characters from earlier books that pop in and out of the later editions - so if you've read the others in the series you'll recognize previous cop heroines and heroes - but you don't need to know about their stories to enjoy the current book you're reading.

The books are mixed-genre - a love story woven through a 'whodunnit'. I've had great reviews from male thriller readers as much as lovers of suspense romance. Having said that, the books are currently pitched far more at the romance market as some thriller readers find the steamy explicit nature of the romances too strong for their tastes. I've not found any romance readers complaining that there's too much action and adventure in solving the crime elements. So I guess what I'm saying is that these books are definitely for the over 18s - they are not erotica but the bedroom door is very much wide open throughout the intimate moments in the story. So for readers, they should be aware these books feature hot steamy scenes - not kinky or illegal - just straight forward passionate sex between consenting adults in a loving relationship.

As well as this, because of the police action, there is occasional bad language and mild violence (those criminals just don't always give up gently without a fight!). My partner is an ex-London cop and Interpol detective so I have a wealth of stories from him and he's always very keen for authentic behaviour. So whilst I know some folk don't like cussing and hard action, it's there to be true to the story - and is often the truth as most aspects of my book are based on real-life experiences of my partner.

This next book will be the sixth title in the collection. The story starts in London and journeys through France and Italy by way of the USA. I have worked a lot in the USA and currently live in the UK and France and visited locations in Italy last summer, so I hope this gives an authentic feel to my stories. I know that the international flavour is one of the aspects of my books that readers enjoy - taking them back to fondly remembered cities or introducing them to places they haven't yet been.

Royal Service by Leslie North 💕 Book Blitz & Prize Pack Giveaway 💕 (Contemporary Romance)

King Phillip is a real life Prince Charming. Golden haired with a Danovian accent, and a solid gold crown sitting on his head, he’s every girl’s daydream. He’s a good man and an even better king, but the one thing he’s been terrible at is choosing a royal wife — fearing a marriage that’s more about policy than passion. But when his mother invites all the eligible maidens to The Summer House Party, Phillip is trapped in a real-life Bachelor where he won’t have the option of quietly splitting from the girl after the party is over — he’ll be wed to her for life.

Ella Fernstone is tired of being the family servant. After her father died, Ella was receded to the basement as her stepmother began a full court press to cultivate her own daughters. Ella’s ready to escape the hot mess of a home that she grew up in by finally pursuing her dream of competitive riding: something she’s been preparing her whole life to do. All she has to do is marry one of her step sisters off to the King of Danovar to finally find her freedom. It couldn’t be that hard right?

That was until Ella was the first to fall for the King’s dashing good looks and an offer to ride off with him into the sunset. Ella is hesitant — a Queen’s life was still one of servitude, but it’s hard to ignore the pull of a handwritten love letter and a skillfully delivered kiss. Phillip too is caught up in seducing what he never expected to find: an eligible woman he might just learn to love. But when the reality of a royal marriage comes crashing down, Phillip and Ella must decide if they can risk their hearts, or their freedoms, on the chance of true love.

King Phillip Gregory Humbert Alcott knelt beside his favorite vintage Indian motorcycle, grease coating his hands, and wished he could stay there forever. Or better yet, finish fixing it up and then just ride off into the sunset. Unfortunately, the sun’s current angle in the mid-afternoon sky put the kibosh on that plan—not to mention the gaggle of women halfway down the drive, any one of whom he was supposed to marry.
Phillip loosened the rear axle nut with a grunt, putting more effort into it than was strictly necessary. A strand of his long blond hair swung loose and he pushed it aside with his forearm. Fixing up his motorcycles usually brought him peace, but lately, with his thirtieth birthday looming, there was hardly any peace for him in the whole of Danovar. According to his country’s law—not to mention his mother’s insistance—he was supposed to choose his queen by the time he turned thirty. And seeing as he’d managed to successfully ignore that law for the last twenty-nine years and nine months, now he had exactly three months left to pick a bride. His mother’s way of “helping” him achieve that goal was to gather all the eligible ladies for a weeks-long party at the Summer House, so that he might pick one to marry before the impending deadline.
The ladies had been arriving all day, and the group at the other end of the drive was among the last of the bunch. Dressed in their jewel-toned finery, they looked like a flock of peacocks, fluttering around and clucking amongst themselves while they assessed the Summer House with openly calculating gazes, not even noticing him kneeling there covered in oil and engine grease.
His mouth twisted. One of those oblivious women might well be his future wife.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to get married. In fact, he’d always been enamored with the idea of growing old with a woman he loved—but that was the problem. During this party he wasn’t so much picking a wife as he was choosing a queen, someone who was capable of ruling Danovar at his side. That meant he would never marry for love, and having seen his parents and grandparents live through loveless marriages, he knew it was nothing to look forward to. He wished there was a way for his duty and love to go hand in hand but it just wasn’t in the stars, and being king meant putting his country before his own desires.
He allowed the rear wheel to slide in the swingarm a bit, blowing out a breath and rolling his shoulders to try to get the tension out of his muscles as he returned to his bike. It wasn’t what he wanted that mattered, he reminded himself. It was what his people needed. And if his people needed one of these scheming peacocks to be his wife, then that’s what they would damn well get.
But that didn’t mean he couldn’t enjoy himself a bit first. Sneak off, spend a few hours on the road, just him and the sunset and the cherry-red bike roaring beneath him. Once he could manage to focus long enough to get the damn drive chain tightened, this beauty would ride like the wind. He’d be sure to get back in time to give the opening speech tonight, of course—shirking his duties was no way to start his search for a queen—but he just needed a little freedom, a little time to himself.
One last limo pulled in, carrying the final load of ladies who were here to vie for the royal engagement ring. Two women who looked like sisters climbed out and stared up at the Summer House, but at least they looked more like they were appreciating its beauty than calculating how much money the crystal chandeliers and extravagant stables were worth. These two were attractive enough, he supposed, and in other circumstances he might not have minded flirting with them. In fact, maybe he could simply pretend he was his brother Eric tonight—then he could flirt with anything in a dress and it could all be fun and games, rather than the official business of the crown.
The women’s servant was standing at the rear of the limo, efficiently unloading the designer luggage. Now with her, he’d love to do more than flirt. She was sexy as hell from behind, clad in a crisp outfit that screamed personal assistant. It also screamed I have a nice ass. Her golden hair was caught up in a bouncy ponytail, and the second he saw it he couldn’t stop thinking about what it would feel like to wrap those golden locks around his hand, tug her head back and angle her just right for a scorching-hot kiss, to run his other hand across those delicious curves and then down, down, down even further, until she was panting and trembling and neither of them could remember their own names.
He tightened the axle back in place and set his tools in their box, wiping his hands on a rag as he contemplated her. It had been a long time since a woman had affected him this strongly, this quickly—but judging from the efficient, completely un-self-conscious way she was juggling her bosses’ luggage, she had no idea she was drop-dead gorgeous. Her innocence was refreshing after all the stuffy gold-diggers he’d watched drive up, who he’d now have to spend the next few weeks courting.
He stood, dropped the rag, and straddled his bike. He’d just been thinking he needed an escape, and now he couldn’t conceive of a better one than shirking tonight’s duties to spend some quality time with the gorgeous creature in front of him. Usually his flings had to go through layers of security checks before he was alone with them, but he was feeling restless and reckless, and the beauty in front of him would be the perfect cure for that.
Decision made, he revved the engine.
