Demon Kissed by J.D. Blackrose 💕 Book Tour and $20 Gift Card Giveaway 💕(Paranormal Romance)

Now I owe that demon a favor and I don't know when he's going to call it in, or, what he's going to ask.

"This book is GOOD!" --Faith HunterNYT and USA Today bestselling author of the Jane Yellowrock series

My name is Rebecca, but everyone calls me Becs.

Years ago, a mark appeared on my inner wrist--The Kiss, they call it--and it makes me a summoner. I can summon, well, things…entities of power, including demons. Which, I did, until recently. I quit, because I summoned a demon on behalf of a client and things went south. I fixed it, but now I owe that demon a favor and I don't know when he's going to call it in, or, what he's going to ask.

One thing's for sure, it won't be kosher.

Now I work in a fae bar, trying to stay out of trouble, waiting for the hammer to drop. But trouble tends to follow me. And my upstairs neighbor, Ash, seems to be right in the thick of it. He's gorgeous, with sexy curls, kissable lips, and a body to match. I can't believe someone like him even glanced my way.

Things get complicated when a local mob boss wants my help, a warlock decides I'm next on the menu, and my six-foot-tall fairy friend can't find his way home.

What's a Jewish, bird-watching summoner with family and friends to protect, to do?

"J. D. Blackrose's latest tale spins together demons, mobsters, fairies, and a kick-ass heroine under a curse that may end up being her salvation. *Chef's Kiss*." --Darin Kennedy, Author of Fugue & Fable and The Pawn Stratagem

This is an excerpt from Demon Kissed, Chapter 4.

“The lower level looked like any library, with its checkout counter, reference desk, and librarians who wore reading glasses perched on their noses. Sunlight streamed in through the archway windows except for the center pane, where a medium-sized stained glass suncatcher turned the light into rainbows that fluttered to the floor in airy, ephemeral colors. I breathed in the smell of books and magazines, pens and paper, and listened to the chatter of patrons asking for assistance and the frazzled librarians’ replies.
“Where’s the photocopier?”
“Where can I find the latest book by . . . ?”
“What do you mean I’m fiftieth on the wait list? How many copies are on hold?”
“I can help you log in, if you’ll wait a moment.”
It washed over me in a pleasant haze, but as much as I liked it there, it wasn’t my destination, so I headed to the elevator.
I took the elevator to the third floor, which housed most of the older encyclopedias and dictionaries, including foreign language versions. I never saw anyone on this floor and assumed you could get all the information you needed online these days.
Walking by these books, I inhaled their rich scent and wanted[…]”

“As usual, a big orange cat meowed a greeting. “Hi, Stacks,” I said as I wiped my hands together to get rid of any dust. “How are you today?”
Stacks, the name indicated by his collar, only occupied the fourth floor as far as I knew, though I supposed it would be no problem for him to descend the staircase given that he was a feline. He was fat, friendly, and well groomed, so someone obviously took good care of him, although I couldn’t say who because I’d never seen a librarian at the small reference desk. In fact, I’d only ever seen one other person up here before, and she’d been as shocked to see me as I’d been to see her.
Stacks rubbed up against my legs, and I petted him, as required. He followed me to my regular bean bag chair, and I scratched his chin and dropped my backpack there. I wasn’t usually a huge cat person because cats ate my birds, but this guy was the exception.
“Back to the demonology section, big boy. Maybe there’s something I overlooked.” […]”

My name is Rebecca Naomi Greenblatt, but my friends call me Becs. A birthmark on the inside of my wrist—the Kiss—marks me as a summoner, a person who can call forth entities of power, and negotiate with them on behalf of clients who need answers—or favors—from beings above their karmic pay grade.

But the only mark I'm worried about right now is the great big target on my back.

I got in deep with a demon and some fae folk, and now both Faerie and Hell are interested in me—a dangerous position for a mortal woman to be in. Meanwhile, the one person whose attention I do want, skipped town after a single night of passion. Asher might be sexy as sin, but he has his secrets. Just like me.

So now I'm stumbling along, doing my best to stay alive. Faerie and Hell have power and influence to spare. And what are my assets? A bartending job, a six-foot tall pink fairy friend, chardonnay-swilling dwarves…and oh, yeah, a meddling mobster who thinks he can control me.

As I dig into what's going on, I find secrets on top of secrets. What does Faerie want with me? What does Hell want with Faerie? And what will they do to me when I finally find out the answers?

Because trust me, I will.
