Having a Media Kit
about you and the book you're promoting
ensures potential readers are introduced to you and your work
as YOU want them to be.
Consider creating a file and a document for your book that includes:
- Title
- ISBN or ASIN
- Series
- Release Date
- Number of Pages
- Publisher
- Genre (Including if it's Clean/Erotic, etc.)
- Tropes
- Hashtags and tag lines for social media sharing
- Excerpt (a short one and a longer one)
- Purchase links (including via the Publisher, your personal site, etc.)
- Awards received
- Snippets from posted reviews
Extras to Include:
- Teaser graphics
- Trailer link or HTML embed code
- Playlist link or HTML embed code
- Any other "additionals" you have for the book
Pre-Written Guest Post in the form of:
- Q and A
- Character Interview
- Fun Facts
- Behind the Scenes
- Short narrative
Your information including:
- Name
- Author Photo
- Bio
- Social media links including your website, newsletter, etc.
Goodreads (now owned by Amazon) is where readers go to view, rate and discover your work.
- Claim/Verify your Goodreads Author Page and make sure your Bio and Contact Info are accurate
- Regularly review your listings for accuracy
- Ensure each book listing has as much info as possible
- Group series books together
